Details

What is SLATE with Graphics? Slate with Graphics is a superset of SLATE. It adds graphics printing support to the text printing features of the SLATE Universal Printer Driver. It adds a library with image, graphic printing, and graphic transformation functions.


SLATE with Graphics is made up of four major components:

SLATEGPH Library: The first is a set of libraries that link into your program. It adds over 60 image, graphic printing, and graphic transformation functions to the 170 text functions of SLATE.

In addition, the library provides built-in features for:

SLATE Components: SLATE with Graphics also includes the basic SLATE Library that is used to print text, set positions, etc., the Distribution Printer Database, and the configuration and testing tools from SLATE. (See the SLATE Page for details.)

Distribution: Your application linked into the SLATE Libraries, the Printer Database, and the configuration and testing tools may be distributed without royalties.

Bar Codes: Functions are included to create the following Barcodes: USS-39, USS-39 Extended, USS-12/5, USS-Codabar, USS-93, Extended USS-93, USS-128, Postnet, FIM, UPC-A, EAN-13, UPC-E, UPC 2 and UPC 5.

Graphic Interfaces: Interfaces to Metagraphics and Genus graphic systems are provided.

Hardware Requirements: An IBM-PC, PC/XT, PC/AT, or compatible computer with at least 128K of available memory and a hard disk drive.

Memory Requirements: Including SLATEGPH will add 5-15K of code space to an application program in addition to the basic SLATE System.

Operation Systems: Microsoft MS-DOS or IBM PC-DOS operating system, version 2.1 or later.
